How to Silence the Gremlin (or Negative Voice) in Your Mind
We’ve all heard that negative voice in our head that tells us, “You’re not good enough,” or “You’re not pretty enough,” or “No one likes you.” This vicious voice in our head is what I call “the gremlin”.
The bad news is that the gremlin can be a wicked force—its grip can have a powerful hold on you end up behaving. And, in fact, some of you may find that your gremlin is so strong that it both ruins fun moments and it prevents you from experiencing joyful ones.
But there is good news! You can interrupt your gremlin! You can overcome the negative messages that run through your mind in order to live a happier life.
In this video, I share with you three practical steps—rooted in neuroscience, leadership, mindfulness and self-development research—that will help you to silence your gremlin so that you can feel good about yourself. These steps have worked for both me and for people I coach who want to live more empowered lives – and I hope they will work for you too!
