I strongly agree with self-care and the act of putting oneself first. We have been raised to falsely believe that thinking about your own needs before others is selfish, when in fact failing every time we say yes to something that we don’t want to do, we are saying no to ourselves. It leads to issues such as anxiety and depression which is somewhat of a psychological response to not living authentically – in my opinion. Thanks for sharing the tips about how to communicate our needs, and for being vulnerable enough to share your own experiences.
